Dermaplaning Facials in Tracy, CA

Dermaplaning is a gentle exfoliation treatment that removes dead skin cells and peach fuzz, leaving skin smoother, brighter, and better able to absorb your skincare products. Using pharmaceutical-grade, fragrance-free formulations, this treatment is suitable for a wide range of clients — from first-timers to those with more advanced skincare needs.

What Is Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning uses a surgical-grade blade to gently remove the top layer of dead skin and fine vellus hair ("peach fuzz") from the face. The result is an immediately smoother texture, a brighter complexion, and better penetration for the products applied afterward.

Our Dermaplaning Protocol

Every dermaplaning treatment starts with a double cleanse to remove dirt, makeup, and SPF, followed by a prepping solution to gently degrease the skin and prepare it for the treatment. From there, the dermaplaning itself is performed with a surgical-grade blade, using a fresh, single-use blade for every client and every session. Depending on your skin and scope of service, this may be followed by additional exfoliation before we finish with targeted serums, moisturizer, and SPF to protect and support your skin's recovery.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Dermaplaning?

Dermaplaning works well for normal, dry, and combination skin types looking for smoother texture, added glow, and better product absorption.

Who Should Avoid Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning isn't recommended for clients with rosacea, since the treatment can increase the inflammation already present with this condition. Also, active/cystic acne, recent Accutane use, open wounds, or active cold sores.

Why Our Products Are Different

All products used in our treatments are completely free of synthetic fragrance — any scent you notice comes from natural botanical ingredients, not added fragrance. We also use pharmaceutical-grade, professional formulations rather than filler-heavy products, so your skin gets targeted, effective support before, during, and after treatment.

Does dermaplaning hurt?

No, dermaplaning itself doesn't hurt — it's a gentle exfoliation that removes the outermost layer of dead skin and fine vellus hair. That said, if your treatment plan includes an additional step like a chemical peel or enzyme treatment afterward, you may feel some mild sensation from that portion of the service, separate from the dermaplaning itself.

How often should I get dermaplaning?

For most clients, once a month pairs perfectly with your regular facial schedule. That said, dermaplaning is gentle enough to be done more frequently — even weekly or every two weeks — when performed under the care of a licensed professional.

Can I get dermaplaning if I have a compromised skin barrier?

This is really a case-by-case decision. In most cases, I wouldn't recommend dermaplaning on a compromised barrier, since the skin is often already irritated, inflamed, or prone to breakouts — and dermaplaning could aggravate that further. But every compromised barrier presents differently, so this is something we'll assess together at your consultation. [Read abour skin barrier repair here]

What should I do after my dermaplaning treatment?

Aftercare is simple: continue wearing your sunscreen daily and maintain your normal at-home skincare routine.
